Meet Our Staff

Brian Snyder – Brian Snyder is the Administrator of Red Sands Christian School. He is also the Director of the mission in Arizona through Lifeline Christian Mission. Originally from Pennsylvania, Brian moved here in 2011 with his family. Brian is passionate about missions work, church planting and seeing children “get it” when it comes to a relationship with our Lord Jesus. He has received his Master of Education in Christian School Administration through Regent University and also holds Bachelor’s from Cincinnati Christian University and DeVry University. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and college football (Penn State fan). Favorite Scripture: Ephesians 2:8-10 and Colossians 4:5-6.


Todd Hunt – Todd Hunt is the Principal of Red Sands Christian School. Todd graduated from Grand Canyon University in 1991 with a B.S. degree in Marketing. He became involved with kids about the time his son was able to join Cub Scouts. He eventually became a teacher at Winslow High School in Winslow, Arizona and taught 9 – 12 grades in the CTE program for 10 years. He earned his M. Ed. Degree in CTE Teaching from Northern Arizona University in 2010. Favorite scripture: Romans 8:28


Dawn Springer – Dawn graduated from Avon High School in 1974, worked until 1985 when she decided to follow her path to the mission field. She always loved children so she knew she would spend her life teaching them. After attending Cincinnati Christian University, she looked into different missions, and God led her to Red Sands. She has played many roles here from bus driver, school nurse, Principal, and teaching up to 3 grades. She believes life is truly an adventure and there is lots of excitement with the way things continue to change. We all are very proud to have her here 23 years. She continues to look forward to the plans God has for Red Sands. Favorite Scripture: Philippians 4:13


Bonnie Jones – Bonnie is the Child Sponsorship Manager for Red Sands Christian School. Bonnie is also skilled in project management, human resources and coaching students in home school learning. Bonnie is fluent in the Navajo language and loves to weave. Favorite Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6


LaRita Nelson – Mrs. Nelson has been teaching for several years and holds her Arizona Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education. Her specialty is in Mathematics, but she simply loves to teach! Mrs Nelson is our 2nd & 3rd Grade teacher.  Mrs. Nelson is a member of a local church, and enjoys sharing with these students the joy of knowing Jesus Christ.


Janie Sandoval – Ms. Sandoval is joining us this year in our Jr. High classroom (6-8th grades). Ms. Sandoval loves the Lord and appreciates the opportunity to share that love also with the students. She holds an Arizona Teaching Certification for Jr. High.


Barb Snyder – Barb is currently Scholarship manager and Financial Assistant for the Red Sands Christian School. Barb helps in the classroom as well as with the library. Barb loves music and has a Bachelor’s of Music from Cincinnati Christian University. Barb teaches voice and piano outside of the mission and this has become another way to build relationships in the community. Favorite Scripture: Proverbs 16:3


Brian Schultz – Brian Schultz is a man of many talents and helps with numerous areas on staff. Brian is one of the archery instructors for the school in the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP). Brian also helps with the wood shop classes, maintenance, driving, and gardening at the school. Additionally, Brian Schultz is very creative with projects and crafts to help raise funds for the school (copper trees, copper scorpions, wood projects and more). Brian also leads a Celebrate Recovery group during the week as he too has a heart for people to know the Lord and break the hurts, hangups and addictions that people deal with. Brian loves the Lord and enjoys serving where he can. One of his favorite experiences was a mission trip to Haiti to serve the people and love them as God has given Brian a huge heart for people.
